September has brought about the finishing of two new paper mache sculptures, which I introduce to you here in my newsletter. Pictured here is the Flamenco Dancer in all her red and turquoise glory. When you read the newsletter you will also see her friend Abraham Lincoln too, who turned up of his own accord one day, on one of my little sculptures. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Penny at Emma Plunkett’s Art Class

August 31st, 2011

Penny had a very successful art class with me. It was her first time making any kind of sculpture and she managed to make two excellent and original pieces totally from scratch. One is called Lilly the Mermaid and the other is called Ludo the Trapeze Artist. Both characters are made using a wire skeleton with papier maché and then painted and varnished.

Emma Plunkett Art Exhibition – Opening Night at Indigo Interiors (Annie Sloane)

August 12th, 2011

This exhibition went really well. We hung the art work the day before, so we were all relaxed for greeting people on the evening. The cards were very popular as were the A3 prints. The sangria was delicious, the bucks fizz with ginger was a real treat and the Thai tapas were a taste sensation. Here are some photos of me, Emma Plunkett, some art and some of the art lovers that came.
