Emma Plunkett’s March Art Newsletter

March’s art newsletter introduces two new sculptures. Pictured here is Corset Lady who seems to be a bit of a sex object and the other sculpture is of a rather buxom angel.

Emma Plunkett’s February Art Newsletter

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

In this months art newsletter I introduce a new piece of sculpture and relate how insect art corresponds to female sexuality. Praying mantis, pictured below is the subject of the main discussions because she is so sexually alluring whilst having that terrible habit of eating her mate. A dangerous female predator indeed. I have made her with a huge pout, seeking out a kiss, massive knockers, her vagina is detailed and can be displayed if she is hung from her front foot and she is all muscle!

Januaries art newsletter is about ballerinas. My personal story of not becoming a ballerina and showing two new sculptures, each with her own story. Teal Ballerina, pictured below, is made of paper maché, painted with oil paint and wears a teal coloured tutu.

Hearts, a symbol of romantic love, painted in water colours, a long running theme in my art that I think I may just indulge a bit longer. See more in my October Newsletter.

Emma Plunkett’s September Arts Newsletter

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

The painting below is one of my favourite water colour paintings and is featured in Septembers newsletter which talks about abstract water colours. As there is nothing telling you definitely what it is in an abstract painting, each time you look, you can see more.
